What does the Drakon thrill coaster ride involve?
Drakon is a custom Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter roller coaster with a vertical lift hill that plunges into a beyond vertical drop, with an inversion coaster track that intertwines at top speeds with a legendary existing coaster at the Park.
The ride height information for Drakon is:
- Children must be at least 1.25 metres to ride.
- Children under 1.4 metres must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Are there any other new rides or attractions in Valgard: Realm of the Vikings?
Yes, as well as Drakon – our legendary Gerstlauer Bobsled has been reborn as Raven. ‘Vild Swing’ a 12m high Art Wild Swing is a first of its kind in the UK. There is also a Viking themed playground and feasting dining hall.
The ride height information for Vild Swing is:
- Children must be at least 95cm to ride.
- Children under 7 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The ride height information for Raven is:
- Children must be at least 1.1m tall to ride.
- Children under 8 years old and 1.3 metres in height must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Parents, older children and teens will love this new line up of rides, but they are not for the faint-hearted. So be prepared to be brave.

Some rides may close for maintenance at certain times of the year.
What other plans are there for Paultons Park in the future?
In March 2025, Paultons Park announced plans to construct a holiday village, which will see the creation of a resort offering by installing 85-95 units of lodge-style accommodation, adjacent to Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, with its own parking and entrance to the park.
