PR02 - March 2008
REACH FOR THE SKY ON THE THRILLING
NEW RIDE AT PAULTONS!
Paultons Park is opening a great new family ride on Saturday 15th March, in time for the
Easter Holidays!
Guests will be able to take flight on The Sky Swinger, a fabulous new ride that twirls and tilts,
lifting riders six metres above the ground on a fantastic aerial journey! This beautiful handdecorated
ride also features special double seats so that smaller children can enjoy the ride
with mum or dad.
Steve Lorton, Paultons’ Commercial Director said, “We are all proud of this latest addition to
the Park and feel sure the new Sky Swinger ride will delight all ages. The ride has nostalgic
appeal to our older guests and the special twin seats also make sure that smaller children don’t
miss out on the fun.”
This year Paultons celebrate the Park’s 25th Anniversary and to mark the occasion there is a
spacious new entrance plaza featuring a fascinating Floating Globe. The largest of its type in
the UK, it is made of solid granite and weights 6.5 tonnes, but suspended on a layer of water it
can be turned with the touch of a finger. It really is amazing!
Another new and delightful feature at the Park is John’s Garden. Situated just inside the
entrance, this peaceful garden has been specially designed and created to give guests the
opportunity to take a break from the fun and relax for a moment or two.
There are now over 50 rides and attractions at Paultons including the amazing Cobra
rollercoaster, the Raging River Ride log flume and the Jumping Bean drop ride remaining
great family favourites, whilst there is also plenty to entertain the little ones with The Flying
Frog mini-coaster which gives youngsters a great first time experience of a rollercoaster and
Seal Falls providing a mini log flume for them to try out!
Paultons Park has a wonderful collection of exotic birds, and animals such as Meerkats,
Wallabies and giant Tortoises. There are also two fascinating museums and a working
Victorian waterwheel to be discovered!
All the rides and attractions are set in over 140 acres of beautiful landscaped parkland on the
edge of the New Forest National Park meaning Paultons really is way too much fun for one
day!
Paultons Park is currently open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will be open daily at 10am from Thursday 20th March onwards.
