PR04/07 - March 2007
TWO CRACKING NEW ATTRACTIONS
OPEN AT PAULTONS THIS EASTER!
Paultons Park is opening two great new family attractions on Saturday 17th March, in time
for the Easter Holidays!
Trekking Tractors gives youngsters (and their parents) a chance to climb aboard near full size
tractors and ride around a delightful farmyard-themed 220 metre track. Steve Lorton, Paultons’
Commercial Director said, “We have put a lot of thought in to the theming of this ride and
wanted it to be as authentic as possible. We have planted over 25 different types of fruit and
vegetables as well as many other interesting varieties of plants and shrubs so the area will be
continually evolving with the seasons.”
The tractor journey will also take guests past several large pieces of genuine farming
machinery and the Park has even built a dry stone wall to complete the farmyard effect!
Also new for 2007 is Gold Rush Falls. This fantastic new area transports guests back into the
Californian Gold Rush era. Families can challenge each other to a round of Adventure Golf
through an ‘abandoned gold mine’ complete with water towers, waterfalls and even discarded
mine wagons! Guest can then try their hand at prospecting and join the hunt for gold at the all
new Panning for Gold (extra charge applies) where successful scavengers are rewarded with
an exclusive medal!
There are now over 50 rides and attractions at Paultons including the amazing Cobra
rollercoaster which opened last year and is unique in the UK. The Raging River Ride log
flume and the Jumping Bean drop ride also remain great family favourites whilst there is also
plenty to entertain the little ones with The Flying Frog mini-coaster which gives youngsters a
great first time experience of a rollercoaster and Seal Falls providing a mini log flume for them
to try out!
Paultons Park has an amazing collection of exotic birds, and animals such as Meerkats,
Wallabies and giant Tortoises. There are also two fascinating museums and a working
Victorian waterwheel to be discovered!
All the rides and attractions are set in over 140 acres of beautiful landscaped parkland on the
edge of the New Forest National Park meaning Paultons really is way too much fun for one
day!
Paultons Park is currently open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will be open
daily at 10am from Friday 16th March onwards.
