PAULTONS PROUD TO SUPPORT ‘7 SUMMITS' RECORDBREAKING RHYS
The Directors and staff of Paultons Park are pleased to congratulate Rhys Jones on his successful attempt to summit Mount Everest and in becoming the youngest person ever to complete the '7 summits challenge' in doing so.
Rhys wrote to the Directors of Paultons Park in January detailing what he was aiming to do and asking for their support in helping finance the expedition.
"When we heard of the incredible feat Rhys was proposing to achieve we felt it was something that would be inspirational to children and young people across the south. Rhys is a great role model and we were only too proud to be associated with him and to be able to help him in his quest." said Paultons Commercial Director, Steve Lorton.
Steve continues, "We were thrilled when we heard Rhys had reached the summit of Everest. I am looking forward to seeing Rhys safely back home in the UK and inviting him back to the Park when he has had a chance to recuperate!".
Rhys now holds the world record as the youngest person to climb the highest mountain on each of the world's seven continents.
