Rotary ‘Kids Out’ returns to Paultons for its 14th year!

Rotary International of Great Britain will return to Paultons Park for the 14th consecutive year on Wednesday 8th June 2005. Over 1,000 children with special needs will visit the popular theme park as part of the national ‘Kids Out’ campaign with similar events and activities happening all across the UK at over 100 different locations.

“We are delighted to welcome Kids Out back to the Park for another year” comments Paultons’ Commercial Director, Steve Lorton. “The Rotarians do a fabulous job in organising the event and their reward is undoubtedly seeing so many children leaving the Park at the end of the day with happy and smiling faces”.

Although the day is organised by Rotary, many other organisations and companies are involved including the police, fire brigade and local authorities. The children are also accompanied by carers and teachers throughout the day.

Paultons is also supplying the sandwiches for the packed lunches for this year’s event and with over 2,400 mouths to feed catering staff at the Park work tirelessly before the event using over 240 loaves of bread, 80kg of tuna, mayonnaise and sweetcorn and 20 tubs of margarine!

Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland together with the Littlewoods organisation have been providing days out for children with special needs since 1990. Rotary is an organisation of business and professional persons united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and build goodwill and peace in world.
