Plan for a great day out with the family
T he Whitsun Bank holiday is a traditional
time to spend the day with the family
and Paultons Park, voted best value
family attraction 2003, now has even more to entertain
the children and parents alike.
There
are over 50 rides and attractions
at the popular leisure park with big
rides such as the Stinger rollercoaster,
Pirate Ship and Wave Runner always
proving to be a hit with visitors. There are also smaller rides
specifically
designed for younger children including
Seal Falls (a mini-log flume),
the Viking Boats (a gentle
water roundabout) and the ever popular
Digger Ride.
New for 2004 are two drop rides; The Jumping
Bean, a thrilling 12 metre vertical
drop and the Jumping Jack, a smaller
version of the Jumping Bean for younger
children, and less adventurous adults.
Paultons
has over 140 acres of beautifully landscaped
gardens which are home to
over 150 different species of unusual
and exotic birds. The latest arrivals
at the Park are 18 Humboldt penguins. The Penguins have
a spectacular new pool to live in and
daily keeper talks and feeding sessions
give visitors a fascinating insight into these endangered
birds.
Paultons has a varied selection of indoor attractions
and activities should the
great British weather take a turn for
the worse! The Romany Experience features
what is believed to be the largest collection of gypsy
wagons in the country, whilst The Magic
Forest and The Wind in the Willows
will enchant both children and the young at heart. Visitors with
a more creative side will love the
new
Kiddie Kraft room, where for a small
additional charge, you can paint your own pottery or create
a novelty coloured sand ornament to
take home!
Open daily from 10am,
Paultons is only
two minutes from Junction 2 of the
M27 and car parking is free! Further details
are available from www.paultonspark.co.uk
