Risk Assessment Guidance
Like all wildlife parks, Paultons Park is subject to and operates under the Zoo Licensing Act 1981 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
At Paultons Park we take health and safety very seriously. To assist teachers in undertaking risk assessments for their visit we have included downloadable health and safety documents.
We strongly recommended that all teachers make a pre-visit to Paultons Park and carry out their own risk assessment.

It is essential that children are supervised throughout their visit to Paultons Park and we recommend the following ratios:
- 1 adult to 4 children in Foundation Year
- 1 adult to 4 children in Key Stage 1
- 1 adult to 4 children in Key Stage 2
- 1 adult to 10 children in Key Stage 3 and 4
